The SteriTent is a quick set up ‘class 1000’ clean room, equipped with an airlock and an air filtration system delivering up to 2200 m³/h of filtered air into the tent.
The incoming air passes through three filtration stages and an additional UV radiation source, maintaining a clean environment inside the chamber at all times. A double door airlock preserves the positive pressure, regardless of the traffic going in and out of the main chamber.
The SteriTent system is totally autonomous and ideally adapted for rapid setup in fi eld conditions and mobile hospitals, providing a ‘germ free’ environment in cases of emergencies or during disaster relief operations. All components of the system can be packed into two steel containers and easily transported to the needed location. When not in use, the containers are stacked and stored with minimal space requirements.
Main Chamber
The main chamber is constructed from a lightweight aluminium ‘quick connect’ structure supporting the transparent chamber liner that is made from special resistant laminate.
Airlock
The airlock is a self-supporting construction consisting of polymeric doors for quick and easy access for personnel and equipment. When entering the airlock, an electro-optical eye automatically switches the filtration system to the high fl ush mode, increasing the airflow through the airlock substantially.
This dramatically reduces the wait time for a complete air change in the airlock and ensures that positive pressure is maintained even when entering or exiting the chamber.
Filtration System
The filtration system has three different airflow modes, allowing quick air fl ushing when needed while minimizing noise level and energy use when high flush rates are not required. In addition, the system is equipped with a differential pressure gauge indicating the condition of the HEPA filter. For filter or UV unit replacement, no tools are required.
